I work with adults and youth (ages 14 and up), couples and families. I offer in-person sessions in Victoria, British Columbia or online sessions for those that can’t make it into my office.
I proudly support the LGBTQ+ community and honour all gender identities and sexual preferences.
I offer a free 15 minute initial consultation via telephone or Zoom to make sure we’re a good fit.

This is best described as one-on-one quality time spent exploring and untangling challenges and the root causes of those challenges. We work collaboratively toward building self-acceptance, resilience, and the freedom to be your whole self.

Every relationship faces moments of strain or distance. In therapy, you’ll have a safe place to pause, reflect and listen to each other. Together, we’ll explore unhelpful patterns, uncover underlying needs and rebuild trust and intimacy. Individual therapy may be recommended to one or both partners if needed.
-
Every family functions as a system, with patterns that shape how people relate, communicate, and support one another. Family therapy provides two or more family members a safe space to notice these patterns and to practice new ways of relating that bring greater ease, balance, and connection.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) helps individuals process and heal from past trauma. Through guided eye movements or other forms of bilateral stimulation, EMDR helps rewire how traumatic memories are stored in the brain, reducing their emotional charge. EMDR can help clients move past distressing experiences, reduce anxiety, and improve overall well-being. This modality is offered in individual counselling sessions.
-
Nature-based therapy takes the healing process outdoors, where the natural world becomes part of the therapeutic space. We’ll meet in a park, on a trail or another natural setting for a walk and talk or to sit, slow down and reconnect with our mind and body. Being outside can help regulate the nervous system, shift perspective, and bring a sense of grounding that is sometimes harder to find indoors.

I have practiced and taught yoga therapeutics for many years and am also trained in TRE, also known as Trauma or Tension Release Exercises. If this area of exploration is appealing, it can be incorporated into counselling sessions or as a stand-alone session.
